Polish Laid Dumplings – Kluski Kladzione – Recipe #98


  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup of warm water
  • 1 tbs of melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp of salt


  1. Mix flour, egg, water and salt  in a  mixing bowl using spoon. If dough is too hard to stir add a little bit more water.
  2. Bring large, flat pot of water to boil. Using tablespoon place portions of the dough in the water.
  3. Cook for about 5 minutes, remove from the pot with slotted spoon or drain in a colander.
  4. Serve with a stew, sauce, melted butter or heavy cream and sugar.
