Pork Hocks in Beer & Honey – Golonka na Piwie z Miodem – Ania’s Polish Food Recipe #29

Ingredients:



  • pork hock
  • 1 cup of beer
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1 tbs of salt
  • few peppercorns
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • parsley root
  • leek
  • carrot
  • bay leaf

Instructions:

  1. Mix beer and honey together. 
  2. Fill large pot with water. Add salt and peppercorns and then all the other ingredients except the beer and honey. Boil for about 45 minutes.
  3. Oil your baking dish and transfer the golonka to it. Cut the skin in a pattern. Pour over the honey glaze. 
  4. Bake for 30 minutes. Every 10 minutes open the oven and pour over the sauce from the bottom of your baking dish.
  5. Serve with baked potatoes, mustard or horseradish.
